2nd Parent Support Group

Praise God, today we managed to have out 2nd PSG. Thanks to Wing Hoe & Pauline to host all of us in their house for the event.

This month we had Mr Lee Teck Soon & his beloved wife, Tzu Yuen to be our facilitator for this month topic - POSITIVE PARENTING :) By the way, both Teck Soon & Tzu Yuen were the original 15 members of SIB from day 1! Teck Soon also serve in the capacity of Church Councilor in SIB.

All ears for the Tzu Yuen & Teck Soon, nothing better than to learn from an experience elders in church. Praise God for them to give time to nature us :) Teck Soon and Tzu Yuen have 3 beautiful daughters with the eldest of 19 years old.

Tzu Yuen & Teck Soon reminded us on the above scriptures. Be careful what you proclaim, talk or when you scold your children, make sure we do not SPEAK anything unnecessary!
Parent, is our duty to discipline our children... that including spanking them correctly.

Ha, this is what i notice... Teck Soon in natural with the baby girl, having 3 of his own, since he enter the house until almost the end, he had been holding Patricia and baby Patricia didn't make any noise until she need her feeding :) Natural!

Good time spend with our elders, much we can learn from them. Nevertheless, we need to know that what we learn from the book about parenting might not be applicable for our culture. Yes, we embrace INDEPENDENCE... more we appreciates family strong ties at all time. So take what is applicable for your family that you want to build.

伊 毗 拉 心 - Cell Combine

Ha, out of curiosity I found out that this is how you might pronounce our cell's name in Mandarin :)

Yup the EP Palm Spring is joining us EP Pelangi. Not only that, we had FICO (Fai Kor) joining us in cell for the 1st time.

Lucas and Cheryl is leading us in worship and it was a wonderful time of worship.

Yup like i said, a good time in worship.

Ha,the ladies in Palm Spring... and we had a "Triathlon" among these roses.

Fellowship time and thanks for all the wonderful food that Su Lit and Ronny brought along.

Global Day Of Prayer- Malaysia (23rd May 2010)

Yup, the big day - Day of Pentecost. The 1st time in Malaysia, all the local church participates in Global Day of Prayer to Intercede for the nation in Stadium Malawati, Shah Alam. EP MEN were there to stand with the Body of Christ to intercede for the nation. (Soon Yen, Chris Jong, Adrien, Lance, Su Lit, Yew Loong, Richard, Lucas & Cherly)
Opening of the GDOP, worship team led the 15,000++ (my guesstimate) strong of participants in the stadium in worship. It THUNDER!

Rev. Ong Sek Leang from Metro Tabernacle Church gave his testimony on how his church had been tested and he his leadership has been tested when Metro Tabernacle Church we vandalized in January this year.

Ha, our very own Ps Chew Weng Chee, giving exhortation to the congregations. Ps. Chew proclaimed, tonight God is with us! The fact that we are in Stadium Malawati is not an coincident! Malawati (sounds like- "melawati"), Jesus visiting us and His present is in this stadium, Jesus is visiting the nation!

Ps. Chew shared the difference on Cup & Censes in the old testament. Cup in Isaiah 51:17 representing the WRATH of GOD over the nation. Censes in Numbers 16:46-48, representing the "Prayer for the Saints" and mercy of the Lord over the nation.

Ps Chew later called for the prayer for all the pastors in the stadium. Churches rise and fall on it's leadership is our duty to cover these leaders in our prayers.

Wow, we have plenty of GIFTTED people in cell :)

We had... Hainanese Chicken Rice to start for the night :P

We had Salt for icebreaker & God's MANNA during worship!... a mouthful of His goodness ya...

We also took the liberty to spend some time to DE-TOX our spiritual life from "INNER VOW".

What is INNER VOW? - Determinations or promises made by the mind & heart early in life and then forgotten, its program the mind & heart to resist change.

"When i was a child, I used to speak as a child, think as a child, reason as a child;, when i become a man, i did away with childish things." 1 Cor 13.11

We need to die to all vows, good e.g "i will always respect women" or bad e.g "i'll not be like my dad", so that our righteousness is by God's grace and not our striving.

Finally, we took some time to identify our own Spiritual Gifts, as is written "...and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will" Hebrew 2:4

1) John have the substance for Prophecy

2) Vivian have the substance for Healing Missionary

3) Adrien had a lot of apology to do :) He is the substance for Apologist

4) Jyun have the substance for Intercession

5) Valarie the substance for Ministering to people

6) Lance substance for Church Vision & Mission

Cell is back on 5th of May

After so many happening activities frm Stations of the Cross preparation to prayer meeting, the cell finally met back at the usual Wed spot.. We were blessed to have Ah Poh and Yue Ming with us.. :) and of course not forgetting Miss Mei Wei.

The nite ended with a wonderful wallop brought by June all the way from Turkey!

Prayer Meeting-Healing Service

EPPS was leading worship in Prayer Meeting 2 weeks ago... it was encouraging to see so many people coming together to pray as a church.

Well done to the team for giving their very best in bringing the people into an awesome time of worship!

The Journey of 7 Stations of the Cross

EPPS behind the scene in the planning and setting up of Station 4"The Arrest" together with our zone leaders Ormande & Flora and also Suzie.
We have the EP-Pelangi going thru the 7 stations..sharing their personal experience..

and also the EP-BU family at the same place same time praying for one another after the awesome journey..

and the EPPS family too... listening to Elder SK's sharing...So wonderful to see the 3 EP families all together going thru the journey of the 7 Stations...

After tat..the EPPS family celebrated Ronny X's Bday!
